Valerie Schurer Christle

Born in Richmond, Surrey, England, Valerie experienced the 60's in London. Over the years she followed a career in the fashion industry, worked on a kibbutz in Israel, ran a pub in Notting Hill Gate, and worked as a certified Dental Surgeon Assistant while always creating art in various forms.

Her patchwork cushions appeared in Harper's & Queen, and The Ideal Home magazines in the 1970's.

After marrying and moving to USA in 1979 her time was focused on raising her two daughters. Her photography and collage work were included in two books, "Six Inches to England" 2001, and "Make a Hole in the Fence" 2002. Her works have been in many shows including Franklin Pierce Law School, Concord NH.

Collectors from many different parts of the world have her works in their homes. Like Valerie, they are at home wherever they are.

Valerie has taken courses from various artists but considers herself mainly self-taught. Since retiring from 15 years as a framing/art consultant Valerie has focused on producing her own artwork at her studio in Wolfeboro, NH.
