As you may remember, petrified wood is when the wood is replaced by other material such as silica and other inorganic material.  The petrified wood in this necklace is from Indonesia and is about 20 million years old.  I loved the pattern, at a quick glance, it looked to me like an ancient script.  Because of the wee bit of orange and blue in the right hand corner, I added this lovely root beer colored citrine. Mimicked the stone pattern in metal and hung it from a string of luscious Tahitian pearls.  Click link for earrings to match.
