"Twilight" Boulder opal Necklace with Carved Blue Chalcedony

Just like the name suggests, this necklace has soft whispers of pastels and liquid boulder opal aquas and greens.  The blue chalcedony is carved by Steve Walters and the boulder opal from Bill Kasso.  Green chrysoprase, tsavorites, & blue zircons accent throughout;  22k and 18k gold.

Chalcedony is a cryptocrystalline form of silica, composed of very fine intergrowths of the minerals quartz and moganite. These are both silica minerals, but they differ in that quartz has a trigonal crystal structure, while moganite is monoclinic.
